SAI Lead Trainers
Doug DeRuisseau Doug is one of the earliest pioneers in the field of social auditing. Doug is the Director of Field Services for SAI. As our first Lead Trainer, he has trained hundreds and hundreds of social auditors around the globe. He's also performed numerous accreditation audits (auditing the auditors). He's seen it all. Doug helped create SA8000 as the first management system-based social compliance standard in the world. Doug lives in the US and trains in English. |

Badri Gulur
Badri was the second SAI Lead Trainer. His extensive background as a quality and environmental auditor give him a very thorough understanding of auditing to a management systems based standard or code. Badri has done numerous audits in many countries. He's also conducted over 40 training courses. Nobody understands management systems better than Badri. He lives in India and trains in English, Hindi and Tamil. |

Martin Ma
Martin brings years of experience to his role as SAI Lead Trainer. He co-authored the SA8000 Auditor Guidance book while working for SAI in New York. He decided he could have more impact by moving back to China. He has spoken extensively on labor rights in China. Martin has trained on the factory floor and in the classroom. He is equally effective training auditors, managers, supervisors and workers - because he knows their perspective. Martin lives in China and trains in Mandarin and English. |

Yolanda Brenes Hernandez
Yolanda is an SAI Project Manager and one of our Lead Trainers. She comes from the corporate-side, having been the social accountability regional manager for Chiquita. Yolanda has conducted numerous social audits in Central America. She has also done technical assistance projects for a wide range of corporate clients in several industries. Yolanda understands what happens in the factories and the fields in the region. Yolanda lives in Costa Rica and trains in Spanish. |

Mike Lee
Mike is one of the most experienced social auditors in China and an SAI Lead Trainer. He has conducted over 50 SA8000 audits, plus over 120 corporate and industry code audits. Of course he’s audited the garment and toy factories, but he’s audited other major industries, including auto, pharmaceuticals, semi-conductors and food. Mike’s engineering background really helps with the technical assistance projects. Mike lives in China and trains in Mandarin. |

Dundar Sahin
Dundar is an SAI Lead Trainer with tremendous experience in health and safety management systems worldwide. This comes from conducting over 150 trainings in this area, as well as consulting projects for multi-national corporations and development agengies. His extensive knowledge of Disaster and Emergency Management make him invaluable when it comes to study in these areas. Dundar received his B.A. in Political Science from Istanbul University speaks Turkish, English and Azerbaijanese. Dundar lives in Istanbul and trains in Turkish and English. |

Adriano Diniz Costa
Adriano has been active in the CSR arena for ten years and is an SAI Lead Trainer. In fact, he was responsible for the world's first SA8000 certifications of agro-industries (Ethanol, Soy and Cotton). He's also acted as an SA8000 auditor for more than 300 company audits, across many countries. Adriano is an expert in labor law, labor audits and code of conduct. He is also a specialist in human rights, certified by the Brazilian Ministry of Human Rights. Adriano lives in Brazil and trains in Portuguese and Spanish. |

Shirley To
Shirley works in management system and CSR auditing field for more than 10 years and is one of the experienced SA8000 and social auditor in China. Shirley has conducted hundreds of second party / third party social audits in various industries and Asia countries. Besides auditing, Shirley also worked with brands and buyers to facilitate many CSR and supply chain management projects. Shirley brings her experience in CSR and management system to training and now she is one of the SAI Lead Trainer. Shirley lives in Hong Kong and trains in Mandarin, English and Cantonese. |

Sanjiv Singh
Sanjiv provides training on labor law interpretation and implementation to business sectors ranging from construction, manufacturing, services and trading. He also trains the labor Inspectors at the UAE's Ministry of Labor on inspection methodology, social interaction, essential business skills and health and safety. Sanjiv comes from a background of 10 years in tea plantation management and has been a leader in promoting corporate social responsibility to business and government in the Middle East. Based in Dubai, his firm - Workplace Internal Regulatory Establishment (WIRE) - is the Authorized Representative for SAI in the UAE. Sanjiv trains in English and Hindi. |

Craig Moss
Craig is the Director of Corporate Programs and Training at SAI. His background is international business development – like over 3,000 projects worth. He knows international sourcing. He knows management systems for social compliance. Craig has developed SAI's process-based rating systems and the related tools. He has written the book (actually two so far) on implementing a socially responsible supply chain. Craig lives in the US and trains in English. |

Jane Hwang
Jane brings us deep technical knowledge with specific expertise in developing learning and management systems tools. As Senior Manager of Corporate Programs and Training, Jane oversees training and technical assistance for auditors, suppliers and buyers on topics ranging from social compliance to supply chain management to SA8000 and everything in between. A big fan of developing tools to help clients measure success, Jane has co-authored “Implementing a Socially Responsible Supply Chain”. And because Jane wrote it, there’s a toolkit that goes with it. Naturally. Jane is a graduate of Columbia University. She lives in the US and trains in English. |

Beat Gruninger
When he’s not training, you’ll find Beat lecturing on Social Norms in São Paulo. It’s just in his nature. Beat has participated in the promotion of international standards like SA8000, AA1000 and GRI. Beat was responsible for development and implementation of several CSR- and stakeholder relationship management systems at companies like Samarco, Comgas, Petrobras, Atlantic LNG and Santander Banespa. He’s also acted as first local Fairtrade-inspector in Brazil. Beat has a BA from the University of Zurich, and a Masters from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Beat lives in Brazil. His firm, BSD, is the Authorized Representative for SAI in Brazil. He trains in German and Portuguese. |
